Management and Leadership Retreats

Taking Your Team to The Next Level

Loeb Leadership works with clients to create and deliver impactful strategic planning and team-building retreats. Our team works with you to identify your company's objectives and lead you through a custom-curated approach to engaging your leaders and their teams to create lasting change. These retreats can be single, day-long sessions, or span multiple days.

The need for team-building and business retreats is growing quickly as leaders recognize the need to help people understand their company or firm’s goals, priorities, and strategy. Retreats create a place for teams to rally together to support those objectives and grow with their company. Retreats also provide a space for people to meet in person to rebuild and nurture relationships within the organization.

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?

We identify what success looks like to you and make it our mission to bring your team together around the goals, mission, and values of your organization while also providing pragmatic advice on how to build trust and respect and practice empathy in relationships. We also provide strategies designed to professionally deal with conflict, honor commitments, and support team accountability.

Our approach is flexible and innovative. Programming can be delivered inside or outside of the “classroom.” For example, Loeb Leadership partners with Shardana Sailing to incorporate a hands-on and fun team-building and learning experience into retreats.

FLEXIBILITY LEADS TO YOUR SUCCESS

The retreats Loeb Leadership facilitates are like a bespoke suit – tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Generally, our retreats address key issues involving trust, respect, conflict, commitment, and group accountability. Some of the topics we can include on the agenda are:

  • Determining Next Year’s Priorities – Business or firm leaders spend time sharing their top three priorities for the upcoming year, how those priorities impact others, and what they need from their colleagues to be successful.

  • Management IQ versus Leadership EQ – Explore how leadership impacts the motivation of others, determining your leadership style and how it allows you to motivate, energize and engage others to achieve overall success.

  • Culture and Trust: The Leader’s Role – Discuss your leaders’ role in shaping culture, building high trust, and setting the tone for how work gets done, with a focus on empathy, inclusion, and learning to help others thrive.

  • Rules of Engagement – To either establish or revisit previously established rules and identify if they are the right rules, or if they need modification based on the current team dynamic. This discussion serves as a reminder that lasting collaboration requires accountability.

  • Conflict – Breaking Through Barriers – In small groups, participants identify obstacles that challenge alignment around the Rules of Engagement and identify how a cohesive, collaborative team can move through conflict and challenges with respect and fairness.

  • Commitment – In small groups, colleagues share what they will do differently to support key priorities and set an example for others. The focus of this exercise is to align around behaviors that foster collaboration, teamwork, and leadership.

  • Giving and Receiving FeedbackEngaging in two-directional feedback, where a leader both offers feedback as well as solicits feedback from others, is an important part of a leader's personal and professional development, yet many leaders don't do it well (or do it at all). We can help leaders increase their confidence and skill in engaging in feedback conversations so that they and their employees can continue to grow and develop.

This retreat was extremely valuable in setting our priorities and developing a culture of trust and respect. Well worth the two days spent working on these critical skills.
— Corporate Director of Operations

It’s not very often I look forward to firm retreats. Loeb Leadership is the exception. The personalized approach to help our firm better work together has made such a significant impact on our ability to retain top people and build a culture of respect. We have Loeb facilitate retreats multiple times each year.
— Managing Partner, Law Firm

When we first brought Loeb Leadership in to facilitate a retreat for our company, we were fraught with a culture that lacked respect, was mired in conflict, and where people did not work efficiently together. We brought Loeb in to conduct a series of retreats for us and today, we’re a different company – better in every way.

Thank you for your great direction and hosting of the retreat last week! I think our team really benefited from the DiSC testing and the further exploration of different communication patterns. I especially appreciated your long pauses in the room to elicit responses. Thanks for providing us with a great springboard to improved communications!
— Senior Director of Security & IT
